We travelled to São Miguel to install the Integrated Vehicle Weighing Solution at MUSAMI.
MUSAMI is responsible for treating waste from around 132,000 inhabitants. Namely, from the municipalities of Lagoa, Ponta Delgada, Povoação, Ribeira Grande, Vila Franca do Campo and Nordeste.
Barcelbal’s Integrated Solution will be used to control the weight of waste collection trucks arriving at and leaving the ecopark. This solution allows MUSAMI to automatically manage weighings, without the need for intervention by the gatekeeper.
How it works
Upon arriving at the weighbridge, the driver finds a traffic light that indicates that they can drive onto the weighing platform when the green light comes on. After positioning the truck on the weighing platform, the driver swipes their RFID card, previously programmed by MUSAMI, on the reader.
The TruckinGest software identifies the truck, records its weight, and prints a weighing ticket on the MC-SelfGest for the driver. In addition, it opens the road barrier so that the truck can drive off the weighing platform.
When returning, the driver goes to the outgoing Truck Weighbridge, where they wait for the traffic light to turn green to drive up onto the weighing platform. On the weighing platform, they present their RFID card again.
The TruckinGest software identifies the open weighing associated with the lorry, records its weight again, prints a weighing slip on the MC-SelfGest for the driver and opens the exit barrier so that the lorry can drive off the platform.
The gatehouse is equipped with MC-IXD Weighing Terminals, a computer with TruckinGest software, an A4 weighing slip printer, an RFID card recorder and a manual button panel for controlling the road barriers.
Using the TruckinGest software, the gatekeeper can print weighing slips (original/duplicate), consult the weighing history, open the road barriers manually and record RFID cards.
